OBITUARY BK# 419
THOMAS ROBINETT 1827 - 1901 Thomas Robinett was born in Holmes, Co., Ohio, August 19, 1827, died November 18th, 1901, age 74 years, 2 months and 20 days. He moved with his parents to Steuben county, Ind.; in 1846; was united in marriage with Helen Buell November 6th, 1857. To this union were born nine children, two of whom died in infancy. His wife died May 6th, 1872, leaving him with seven small children. He was again married to Mrs. Mary Zeigler, (nee; Mary Elizabeth Rosenberry) May 6th, 1875. To them were born six children, who with one little grandchild are left for the mother to care for. He leaves a devoted wife, thirteen children, relatives and friends to mourn his departure. Funeral services were held at the Bethel United Brethren Church on Wednesday, November 20th, 1901. The sermon was preached by Rev. G.W. Long, using a text language found in John 9:4. He was assisted by a choir of singer. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery. An old and respected citizen of Steuben county, has thus passed into the shadow of the grave, but his usefulness will be cherished by a large circle of friends. We miss thee from thy place dear father. A shadow o'er our life is cast. We miss the sunshine of thy face.
