I don't know how much of this is true. Ahijah was traveling west and his first wife died in child birth in Missouri. He came back to Ohio and Married Mary McIntire. She died the day after her daughter Sarah Jane was born and he married Mary's sister Alice. He told that he was born in Scotland and was disinherited and sent to live with relatives in America. I don't believe this is true. His Civil War records say he was born in Belmont Co. Ohio.
