Job TRIPP was born in 1673 in Portsmouth, Rhode Islan d . H e interited on 1 Dec 1692 in Portsmouth, Rhode Island .( 37 ) He was the major heir to his father's estate, yet r eco rd s pertaining to him are vague. He was Made citizen o f Ne wpo rt in 1726 in Newport, Rhode Island. (38) He was e lecte d a s Deputy or member of the Assembly from North Kin gstow n bet ween 1734 and 1738 in North Kingstown, Rhode Is land . (39) H e signed a will in 1750 in North Kingstown, R hod e Island. ( 40) The day and month are burnt off the rec orde d copy. He d ied on 3 Sep 1751 in North Kingstown, Rho de Is land. (41) H e signed a will on 9 Mar 1752 in North K ingsto wn, Rhode Isl and. (42) Besides the wife Elizabethan d son J ob, the will m entions children Isaac, William, Meh itable , Ann, Mary, Pheb e, Abigail, Deborah, Benony ("if l iving" ) and at least on e son (not named) of Benony, and A biel.

Job Tripp was the second son of Peleg Tripp, s o n o f John Tripp the Founder. He married Elizabeth Swee t a s hi s second wife, however Isaac Tripp, our ancestor was born of the first wife, whose name is not kn o w n. Job Tripp had a total of seven children. Bock: Job Tripp of North Kingstown was appointed guardi a n o f Samuel and able Tanner, orphans of Benjamin Tanner late of Exeter Deceas e d , August 2, 1746 ( TC Exeter p. 47 in RIGR 5:L78 [July 1982].
