THESE ARE THE NOTES OF ROBIN ROEBEN:
From Laura Miller: Jermil@pilot.infi.net:
Jonas Webb Jr.14,4 was born about 1725 in Sussex Co, DE. He was wittnessed inventory on 14 M ay 1744 in Essex Co., VA.15 A Jno. Webb witnessed several wills and inventories including on e on a Robert Patten. He owned 400 acres in 1773 in Harrison Co., WV.16 Jonas Webb 400 acres on Simpson's Creek , adjoining lands claimed by the heirs of George Wilson, in the Pedlars right to include hi s settlement made thereon in1773, with a preemption of 1000 acres adjoining thereto.
He was signed Augusta County Petition on 6 Nov 1777 in Harrison Co.,WV. (Following is th e full and complete text of the 6 Nov 1777 Augusta (Harrison) County Petition, as transcribe d from a copy of the document now held in the Virginia State Library in Richmond. ) Virginia Assembly "summary" description, written on the outside of the folded Petition and la beled as page "Ad-2":

There are 215 signatures including on page Ad3, col. $ Mathew Nutter Saml. Board Jonah Webb Thos. Webb Benje. Webb Thos. Nutter Christopher Nutter
He died in 1782 in Harrison Co., WV. Since his wife is listed but not him on the 1810 cens us I assume he had died by this time.
According to Laura Miller (jermil@pilot.infi.net) Susannah was the daughter of Jonas Webb J r and Elizabeth Nutter Webb. I was correct on my conclusions of the census data below.
He was married to Elizabeth Nutter about 1758 in Monongalia Co., WV. On the 1810 VA censu s there are the following Web/Webb in Harrison Co, WV. Webb, Benjamin 80 22101-30110-00 Webb, Benjamin 105 00100-10100-00 Webb, Elizabeth 82 00100-00011-00 Webb, Nathan 105 11010-12010-00 Webb, Thomas 99 22001-21101-17
(????? Mary and Susan's father should be approx. 60 years old in1810. This would be onl y Benjamin or Thomas in the correct age but possibly they are the generation younger. Benjam in's wife is only in the 26-45 year range which lets her out. Thomas Webb has a wife over 4 5 andElizabeth Webb is listed as over 45. These seem the best two bets.)
