COMMODORE B. NUTTER
Commodore Nutter, 69, of Fleming, Rt 1, Washington County, O., a school teacher for many year s and a brother of O.J. Nutter of Vienna, was killed shortly after 9 a.m. yesterday when a tr actor he was operating on his sons farm overturned, pinning him beneath it.
Washington County Sheriff Richard Ellis said the fatal accident occurred as Nutter and G. W . Richards, also of Fleming, Rt. 1, were building a line fence between their two properties . The Warren Twp. volunteer rescue squad rushed the victim to the Marietta Memorial Hospital , where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The victim was born at Rocksdale, W.Va on May 11 1896, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charle s Nutter. He married Leota Kerby, who died in 1957.
Mr. Nutter had lived in Calhoun County, W.Va. before coming to Warren Twp. nine years ago. H e had been a public school teacher for 35 years and since his retirement had been engaged i n farming. He was a member of the Warren Chapel Methodist Church. One son and one daughter su rvive, Deo Nutter of Fleming Rt 1 and Mrs. Genevieve Ludlow of Columbus. There are five grand children. One brother and two sisters survive. O.J. Nutter of Vienna, W.Va; Mrs Effie Tucke r of Belpre; and Mrs. Eva Sampson of Coolville. *Three brothers preceded him in death.
The body is at Doudna & McClure Funeral Home in Marietta.

ANDERSON] "RAY" NUTTER
Funeral services for Ray Nutter, 58, of Fleming. O., who died at his home at 5:50 a.m. Monday , will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Warren Chapel Church by the Revs. Ruby an d Charles Wilkinson.
He was born Nov. 27, 1899, at Rocksdale, W. Va., a son of the late Charlie Nutter and Nancy M itchell Nutter.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Ruth Everson Nutter; one son, Leman Nutter of St. Albans; o ne daughter, Mrs. Rachel Benidicts of Fleming, O.; three grandchildren; two brothers, O.J. Nu tter of Vienna and C.B. Nutter of Fleming; two sisters, Mrs. Effie Tucker of Oakland Md., an d Mrs. Eva Sampson of Belpre; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death b y two sons, Rex and Foster Forrest.
Burial will be in the Warren Chapel cemetery. The body will be returned today to the family r esidence, where friends may call until time for the services.
