Confederate Army, prisoner, exchanged

BIO:  Peter enlisted 25 Apr 1861 in the Confederate Army at Glade Spring, Virginia under Captain R. P. Carson for a period of three years or the war.

Taken prisoner of war in the engagement at Kernstown.  He was listed on the roll of prisoners of war sent from Fort Delaware, Delaware and exchanged at Aikens Landing, Virginia on 5 Aug 1862.  He was captured at Winchester, Virginia 23 Mar 1863.
