4 Mary Jane Boehm was born 15 Aug 1824 in Shenandoah County, VA and died 29 Jan 1899 in Sh enandoah County, VA, she married, 11 Nov 1852 in Shenandoah County, VA Ephraim S. Mowery wh o was born 13 Dec 1823 in Shenandoah County, VA and died 4 Apr 1865 in a prisoner of war camp , Elmira, NY. Ephraim was captured as a prisoner of war, allegedly on his own property at Leb anon Church, VA. He was sent to Elmira, NY on December 16, 1864 and died there of chronic dia rrhea. He was a private in Company G of the 2nd Virginia Infantry.

Know Ye, That in conformity with a Survey, made on the eleventh day of April, one thousand ei ght hundred and forty four, by virtue of Land Office Treasury Warrant No. 12,908. there is gr anted by the said Commonwealth, unto John and Ephraim Mowery A certain Tract or Parcel of lan d, containing sixty two and a half acres, lying and being in Shenandoah County on the South E ast side of the Little North mountain & along the top of the same and bounded as follows. Viz : Beginning at three hickories on the East side of said mountain, a corner to Frederick R. Mo wery & John Hockman's line, running thence with said Hockman's line up the mountain & 116. W . 510 (?) poles to a pine and three small black oaks on the top of said mountain in Isaac Bea m and John Copenhaver's line thence with their lines running along the top of said mountain . The general course thereof N. (?) E. 37 poles to a Black Oak, a chesnut Oak and pine on th e top of said mountain a corner to Isaac Beam & John Copenhaver in a line of John Richards la nd Thence with his line and passing his corner a continued course with Frederick R. Mowery' s line. (?) poles to the beginning with its appointed marker.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said Tract or Parcel of Land, with its appurtenances, to the said Joh n and Ephraim Mowery and his heirs forever.
