In 1916 he ran for the Arkansas legislature. The Governor appointed his opponent, J. B. HARRIS, to break the tie vote.
He served as Mayor of Springdale, Arkansas, at one time.
He served as Assistant District Attorney at Fort Smith, Arkansas, under Noah IVIE.
