She was still in her parents' household in 1880. Dolly NELSON McELORY, in an interview with Eva McCARTY in Feb. 1997, gave Nancy as one of the NELSON children, but did not cite any vital data about her.

BIO: Ms. McELORY reported to Eva McCARTY that Nancy E. was born 07 FEB 1896, but examination of the U.S. census record for Campbell County, TN for 1900 gives Nancy's age as "14", her date of birth as "Feb. 1886." This is in agreement with the dates of birth and death found on the Jones Cemetery Index.
