The 1850 census shows the name as "Calob", but the 1860 census clearly shows "Caleb".[Downing.ged]

The 1850 census shows the name as "Calob", but the 1860 census clearly shows "Caleb".    Caleb appears on the Death Endowment of the LDS on 17 Aug 1939 bein endowed by Heber Grant.  It shows his birth date as "abt 1793". Film 184320, P. 49, Ref. 1074. The two names immediately below the Caleb Nichols family on the 1850 census for Twinsburg, Ohio, show the names "William A. Parks" and "Isabel A. Parks". Most interesting, as Caleb's wifes maiden name was Amanda Parks.  To confuse th issue even more, a file in the LDS web site shows the maiden name of Isabel A. Parks to be....Nichols!   Most confusing. Marriage date source:  Vital Records of Montgomery, MA.

The 1860 census shows her age as 64. Amanda's maiden name was found on the LDS website, showing daughter Hannah on film 184219.  To be further checked.  This find was of great satisfaction; Amanda was the last of the 16 great great grandparents to be properly identified! In the 1850 census of Twinsburg, the names immediately below the Nichols family are William A. Parks and Isabel A. Parks (age 35 and 31), and further down are shown Elisha L. Parks and Christina D. Parks (age 41 and 40). Could William and Elisha be brothers of Amanda?  Likely, but unconfirmed. Names of Amanda Parks parents were located on the LDS web site; film no: 1239640, Page number 1202, Reference no. 40255.  All ancestors of Amanda Parks that are listed are from a PAF file found on that site.
