General Notes (Wife)

[bobspu.ged]

BIO: This daughter of Bartlett O'DELL is listed in his household in 1850 as "36" years old; on the 1860 census in Claiborne Co., TN, "Elizabeth O'DELL" is listed as head of the household, and there is a "Nancy" listed there who is "40" years old. In 1880, "Nancy" is listed in the home of her nephew, and her age is given as "66." Most sources say that Nancy's father and mother were both born in N.C.; the 1880 census says both were born in VA. Nancy's exact birth place is not known. She is consistently reported to have been born in TN; her parents were been married in Washington County, TN, about 1813, and she was probably their first child. A brother, Quillen, was thought to have been born in Claiborne County, TN, but later research revealed two census records where his place of birth was recorded as "VA." He is thought to have been born about 1818. A sister, Artemicia, thought to be born about 1817 was reported to have been born in TN. The census records contain varied and somewhat conflicting data on members of this family. Other records refer to the "Speedwell Community" near Tazewell in Claiborne Co., TN. Lawrence Edwards, in his book about about the old Speedwell families, claims that Bartlett moved to Claiborne Co. as early as 1800, yet Bartlett is on militia lists from Washington Co. in 1813. His marriage to Elizabeth Quillen is recorded in Washington Co. in August of that same year. The family appears on Claiborne Co. census records in 1840, but attempts to locate the family between 1815 and 1840 have been unsuccessful. (Nancy is not mentioned in EDWARDS' book.) It is not known where Nancy ODELL died, but in April, 1888, Nancy and her former sister-in-law, Sarah OVERBEY O'DELL PHELPS, signed an affidavit, testifying on behalf of Sylvania OVERBEY in her efforts to obtain widow's benefits for her husband's C.W. service. On that affidavit, which Nancy signed with "her mark", Nancy's age is given as "73". Calculation would place her birth about 1815. Compiler did not find Nancy on the 1900 census and neither did she find her nephew, (Wm. Franklin O'DELL), with whom Nancy had been enumerated in 1880. Sarah PHELPS appeared in 1900 as a "boarder" in the home of Will Henry JOHNSON. February 1996: Compiler received copies of Military Pension File # 2049; Bartlett ODELL-Elizabeth QUILLEN ODELL. Testimony on behalf of Elizabeth's application for pension included sworn statements by Jesse and Mary Jones, husband and wife, who say that they were friends and neighbors of the ODELs even before their marriage. This testimony states that Bartlett and Elizabeth were both residents of Carter County, TN at the time of their marriage. The Jones couple also state that they moved from Carter County to Claiborne County about the same time as the ODELLs. If this report is true, Nancy may have been born in Carter County, TN. (It should be noted, however, that this eastern TN area had undergone a great deal of confusion as to which state - NC or TN - was to claim the area. It was highly possible that many of the residents of the area truly did not know in which county or state their homes were situated!)

General Notes (Wife)

[bobspu.ged]

BIO: This child of "Frank" and "Belle" O'DELL may have been named for Nancy O'DELL, a spinster aunt of Frank's, who was in their household on the 1880 Census; however Belle also had a paternal aunt named "Nancy PHELPS." The WARRENs do not cite a reference for their data on this first family of Frank O'DELL. The exact date and place of death are not certain. Compiler suspects that much of it was handed down as family lore from Orville's mother, Sarah Hettie O'DELL. Family tradition has it that Frank lived in Laurel County until about 1902, when he moved to Montgomery Co., IN; however, compiler has not been able to find him on the 1900 census in either Laurel Co. or in IN. His son, "Ike" was born in Laurel Co. in 1901, and compiler's mother, Frank's second daughter, was born in Montgomery Co., IN in 1903. Compiler was under the impression that Nancy D. died before the marriage of "Frank" O'DELL and Virginia Margaret PHELPS; however, the date given in the WARREN's work is "1895." March, 1996: Compiler was given the opportunity to copy data from the Family Record Sheets taken from the Bible of Virginia Margaret PHELPS O'DELL. These sheets, owned by Virginia Margaret's son, Hubert, contain notes on the births, marriages and deaths of the Frank O'DELL families. Per these notes, the "D" recorded in the WARREN book as Nancy's middle initial, stands for "Dorcas." (An aunt of "Bell" PHELPS was named "Dorcas.") Nancy's date of death was not recorded. July 1996: A Circuit Court Record (1891) was found in Laurel County which gave W.F. O'DELL guardianship of Nancy D. O'DELL, 11years old. The child was described as female, 11, heir of W.F. O'DELL, dec'd. Compiler has no idea why this should have been necessary. In 1891, Frank, Nancy's natural father would have been married almost 2 years to his second wife, Maggie, Nancy's maternal aunt.

General Notes (Husband)

[bobspu.ged]

m1. Hannah Marinda Lickliter m2. Eliza O'Dell"

BIO: Nathaniel was enumerated as one year of age on the 1850 census for Claiborne County, TN. By July, 1860, his family was residing in Laurel County, KY, where Nathaniel married his first wife, Hannah "GUTHREY" in 1868. Marriage records state that Nathaniel was 19 at the time of his marriage. He was a farmer; a resident of Laurel Co. Both of his parents were born in Tennessee. The couple was married at William Lickliter's. There was a note stuck between the pages of the record book in the handwriting of E.J. O'DELL authorizing his son's marriage to Hannah Marinda GUTHREY. (The bride was 31 years of age; this was her second marriage.) Discovery that Nathaniel's father and mother were in Mercer County, IL in the early 1900s led compiler to examine the census records for that county in 1900 and 1910. Apparently Nathaniel married a second time, about the time of the 1900 census enumeration, since the response to "No. of years married?" was "0" for both Nathaniel and his wife, Eliza. (She is listed as "Wife" on that census.) No data has been found concerning this marriage, but per the census enumeration (23 June 1900), Eliza was 68 years of age; Nathaniel was 51. Nathaniel's occupation was listed as "Day Laborer." Ownership of the home is recorded "O-F" ("owned"-"free"), indicating that either Nathaniel or Eliza had lived in the residence for a substantial period of time. Although there has been no documentation found to support it, compiler believes that she has found at least one son of Nathaniel O'DELL's living near his grandfather, Elisha Jordan O'DELL in Millersburg Township in 1900. Based on his year and place of birth as given on census, compiler has made the assumption that William H. O'DELL, who was enumerated as head of his own household in Mercer County, IL in 1900 and 1910, is the son of Nathaniel and his first wife, Hannah LICKLITER GUTHREY. It is possible that this William was the son of Elisha Jordan O'DELL, but "Eliza O'DELL, 81, widowed, born in SC" is enumerated in William's household in 1910. Her relationship to the head of the household is specified as "Mother." (She would actually have been William's stepmother, however, since she and Nathaniel were probably not married until about 1900.) Compiler was unable to find Nathaniel on the 1910 census, nor was his wife, Eliza, enumerated as head of a household. This is substantial evidence that the "Eliza, ...Mother..." in William's home was Nathaniel's widow. It is also strong evidence that Nathaniel died sometime between 1900 and 1910, probably in Mercer County.

BIO: Alice was a first cousin to Virgil GILCHRIST, compiler's father. The two cousins were extremely close in their youth. Compiler has heard many stories from her father of Virgil and Alice speaking Latin as they traveled from their farm homes to Richland Center High School. They also attended many parties and dances together and spent much time in each other's homes. After their marriages, Alice was a frequent visitor in the GILCHRIST home. She never missed sending some nice gift for each graduation or wedding in the GOLCHRIST FAMILY. She once traveled from South Bend to Jeffersonville at comipiler's request to surprise Virgil and Elizabeth at their anniversary dinner. Alice ran a thriving antique business out of her home-shop for many years. After her mother-in-law began to experience failing health, Alice closed her business in order to care for Mary JOHNSON O'DELL in "Plez" and Alice's home. After Mary's death, she once again opened and enjoyed her antique business.

Wilma FOLTZ has provided a copy of the following obituary. MRS. ERNEST O'DELL Mrs. Alice P. O'dell, 72, of 1436 Lincoln Way E., died at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the St. Joseph Hospital after an illness of one week. She was born Oct. 22, 1901 in South Bend and lived here all her life. m1. Mary Ausmus m2. Elizabeth A. O'Dell"

Source: Elizabeth (Ann) Gilchrist-Jun 1998-O'Dell.GED

BIO: Quillen ODELL is listed as the head of his own household, about eight household numbers from his father, Bartlett, and just two numbers before Benjamin AUSMUS on the 1840 census. Compiler searched for marriage records for a female "AUSMUS" and a male "ODELL" in Claiborne County, TN about 1837, but found none. Marriage indexes located at the Claiborne Co. Library only went back to 1838, however. Thinking that Quillen might have married in Washington County, TN, since it was not certain when Bartlett moved his family to Claiborne County, compiler searched marriage indexes in Jonesboro. Two possibilities were considered, but both were before 1835. Neither of these listed the groom as "Quillen"; neither gave the bride's surname as "AUSMUS." On the 1840 census, both Quillen and his wife are listed as between the ages of 20-30, and there is a female under the age of 5 in their household. March, 1996, compiler received a back issue of "Reflections", the quarterly newsletter of the Claiborne Co. Hist. Soc. which contained an article on the O'DELL family. The author, Marjorie WALSH, gave 1821 as the birthdate of "Quillan" ODELL. She also listed his spouse as "Mary AUSMUS". No marriage date or place was given. In September, 1996, Marjorie WALSH forwarded a copy of a letter written to her by Eva McCARTY of Clinton, TN, a descendent of Bartlett O'DELL's via his daughter, Mary Pauline LAY. In that letter, Mrs. McCARTY states that Quillin O'DELL married __?__ AUSMUS and that the couple moved from Claiborne County to ARKANSAS. Later compiler discovered an entry on a CD of census indexes for 1850 showing "Quillin ODELL" in Prairie Township, Franklin County, ARKANSAS. Compiler ordered the microfilm for that census record and was successful in finding the family there. "Quillin" was reported to be 29 years of age and born in VIRGINIA. Mary, his wife, reported that she was born in TN and was 28 years old. The couple had four children, the oldest of whom was Elizabeth, 10 years of age and born in TENN. Malinda, 9, is also reported to have been born in TN, but John W., a two-year old and "Malida" (name is difficult to read, and may not be accurate), a one-year-old female were both born in ARKANSAS. This would indicate that the couple moved from TN to AR sometime between 1841 and 1848. Compiler examined the 1860 census for Franklin County, AR, expecting to find the family again, but they did not appear. Some time later, compiler posted a query on an internet bulletin board for that county. Among the persons responding to this query was a resident of Carroll County AR. He reported that "Q.B. O'DELL" was found on a census index for 1860 for that county. April, 1997: Compiler examined 1860 census microfilm for Carroll County, AR. "Q.B. Odell" was found in Berryville, Prairie Township. While compiler is satisfied that this is Quillen, son of Bartlett O'DELL, there are some confusing bits of data on this census record, too. "Q.B" is reported here to be 42 years of age, a farmer, born in VA. His wife, rather than having the name "Mary" as on the previous census, is listed as "Elizabeth A., 37, b. Ten. John W. is listed as 13 years of age -- only a slight difference from the expected "12". Matilda (Malida, on the 1850 record) is 10 years old -- again, close enough to what was expected. There is a John T. BUTTER or BUTLER, 28, Farmer, B. Ten. enumerated in the household and a "Brunette", 18 years of age. Her last name is not registered, but from the arrangement beneath the name of Mr. BUTTER, compiler assumed that she was "Brunette BUTTER/BUTLER. The next household is that of James A. CARTER and Malinda CARTER, 18, b Ten. Compiler feels sure that this is Malinda, the daughter of Quillen and her husband. Since there seems to be such a variation in the year of birth of Quillen O'DELL, compiler has taken the liberty of recording his birth year as "Est. 1818-1821." Two census records have shown his place of birth as VIRGINIA. Since it has not been established just when Bartlett and his family moved from Washington County, TN and when they appeared in Claiborne County, compiler is tempted to believe that the family may have gone into VIRGINIA for a period of time prior to settling in Claiborne County. "Place of birth" on various census records for most of Bartlett's children shows "TN," yet Quillen in two census reports is said to have been born in VA. Artemicia is said to have been born in TN, yet in 1880, the informant for the enumerator says she was born in VA. It is possible that the confusion in places of birth is directly connected with the confusion of the day in determining political lines or boundaries of this specific area. The county lines and even the TN and NC state lines were changed several times in a relatively short period of time. Consequently, many of the residents had good reason to be confused about exactly where they lived -- was it in TN or VA or NC? 'in Washington Co.? 'in Claiborne, Campbell or Union County? Since there seems to be no simple answers to these questions, the search continues for Bartlett and his family between 1815 when he appeared for the last time on the Washington County Tax Lists and 1840 when he first appeared on the census records for Claiborne County. Did he not appear sooner, simply because he was not a property owner? Or was he not in Claiborne County as early as Lawrence EDWARDS and others have believed?

General Notes (Wife)

BIO: Tradition has reported that Quillen O'DELL married Mary AUSMUS in Claiborne County, TN prior to 1840. This is supported by the 1850 census enumeration in Franklin County, AR, where his wife is recorded as "Mary." The 1860 census for Carroll County, AR shows "Elizabeth A." as the wife of Q.B. O'DELL. This is in keeping with the report of Marjorie WALSH that Mary (AUSMUS) O'DELL died in Greenville, AR (Franklin Co.) at the home of one of her children. The O'DELLs' oldest child was also "Elizabeth", but she would only have been about 20 years of age at the time of the 1860 census enumeration. She was not listed in the household, so probably had married and moved from the home. In fact, that may have been the child's home where Mary died, but compiler has no information about Elizabeth QUILLEN, and does not know if she survived until Mary's death. Using the report from Ms. WALSH and these two census records, it would appear that Mary died between 1850 and 1860, and that Quillen had remarried by 01 AUGUST 1860 (the date of the enumeration.) The maiden name of Elizabeth Ann is unknown as of May, 1997.

BIO: Bob was a favorite cousin of compiler. He was close to compiler's parents and often came

from his Dayton, OH home to visit the GILCHRIST home in Jeffersonville, IN. During summer visits to northern Indiana, compiler often spent a few days at the O'DELL farm near Argos. These times were most enjoyable when Bob was "home" for a few days. Bob, his father and his brother, Roy, were frequently at the homes of the WARRENs or the WILLIAMs when compiler visited there. It was not unusual for the three "bachelors" to appear at one of their aunt's breakfast tables. They were always welcomed and their presence insured home made biscuits and gravy would be on the menu. About 1951, compiler and parents with brother Bob spent a week at Christmas with relatives in northern Indiana. On the way home, Bob fell asleep while standing in the back of the car. Apparently he started to fall backward; his sleeve caught on the door handle of the center opening door and allowed the wind to whip it open throwing Bob out of the car. After treatment at the emergency room in the Peru Hospital, we were advised to take him home and check with the family doctor there. Bob O'DELL was at our home when we arrived. While brother Bob was being examined at the "home" hospital, cousin Bob was a strong source of comfort to compiler. (The following obituary was copied and supplied by Wilma MOW FOLTZ)

" ROBERT O'DELL Robert A. O'Dell, 53, former Richland Center and Argos resident, died unexpectedly Saturday evening at his residence in Dayton, Ohio. He was born Oct. 1, 1921, at Richland Center to John and Sarah Marshall O'dell. He had resided in Ohio since 1949, moving from Argos. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Dayton American Legion. He was a lab supervisor at Wright Patterson Air Force Base at Dayton. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Sarah O'Dell, and one brother, Gilbert O'Dell, both of Argos. Final rites will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Grossman funeral home in Argos. The Rev Frank Valeriano will officiate. Cremation will be at the Riverview cemetery in South Bend. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the Knightstown Soldiers and Sailors Home."

Wilma MOW FOLTZ related this family story in a letter, June, 1994 "Red and Sarah lived northwest of Rochester on the Brewer farm. Sarah's mother and brother lived with them. One evening Red looked out the door and saw Bob standing on the rear "hocks" of a horses' legs, hanging onto the tail while getting a "free" ride around the barn." BIO: Robert was listed on the 1900 census in Montgomery County, IN with his parents. Family tradition has reported that Isaac took his family to NORTH DAKOTA, where first he, and later one of his sons served as Post Master in Stutsman County for many years. Other family reports were that the entire family eventually migrated to CALIFORNIA, but there had been no known contact with any of the IN relatives for many years. Compiler found a Robert E. O'DELL on the Social Security Death Index. This Robert E. obtained his Social Security Number in CALIFORNIA. He died in October, 1978; his last known address was given in the SS Index as "New Orleans, LA." (This was later proved to not be the son of Isaac O'DELL, but compiler wonders if it might be Robert's son, Robert E., Jr.) August, 1997: compiler established contact with George L. Barron, a member of the James River Genealogy Club, Jamestown, ND. Mr. BARRON identified Robert O'DELL among the names on a Stutsman County Library index of obituaries. A short time later, Mr. BARRON provided a large amount of documentation collected in repositories in Stutsman County, ND for members of the Isaac L. O'DELL family. Included in these items of documentation was the following obituary, which Mr. BARRON photocopied in its entirety:

p 3, 01 Aug. 1957: FORMER ELDRIDGE MAN, ROBERT O'DELL, DIES IN LOS ANGELES HOSPITAL Robert O'DELL, 13967 Van Nuys Blvd.; Pacoima, Calif., a former resident of Eldridge, died in a Los Angeles hospital last night after months of serious illness. Mr. O'DELL, who was born in VIRGINIA, came with his parents Mr. and Mrs. I.L. O'DELL to NORTH DAKOTA and was one of the early Eldridge settlers. He attended school and grew to manhood in the Eldridge area and later he and Miss Emma THOMPSON, Winnipeg, CANADA, were married and became parents of three children. In 1938 Mr. and Mrs. O'DELL left Eldridge and after a brief stay in MINNESOTA, they settled in Pacoima, Calif., where he was self-employed. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Emma THOMPSON O'DELL, and three children, Mrs. Gordon Dawson, Robert O'DELL, Jr., and Gordon O'DELL, Los Angeles, Calif., two sisters, Mrs. Claude VAUGHT, Tappen, and Mrs. Helen ALEXANDER, and two brothers, Lacey O'DELL, Frezno, Calif., and Will O'DELL, Santa Rosa, Calif. Also surviving are two nieces who reside in Jamestown, Mrs. Philip SCHNEIDER and Mrs. Lloyd MILKE. Funeral services have not been set yet, but will take place in Pacoima, Calif., with burial in the family lot there.

There are a few discrepancies when facts recorded in the above obituary and facts from other documents are compared. The obituary states that Robert was born in VA, however, all census records consulted, as well as the ND History book containing the article about Isaac O'DELL and his family, consistently report Isaac born in TN, and his children all born in either KENTUCKY or INDIANA. There is another "Robert O'DELL" listed in the Eddy Funeral Home Index, p 19. There is no date/year of birth given for this individual; the date of death is "1913." Even though Isaac and his wife were listed in the same index there is no evidence that the Robert found in this source was connected to Isaac or members of his family. The ND History which carried the article about Isaac L. O'DELL, in 1917, stated that, at that time, Robert was "with the Rock Island Plow Company at Minneapolis." His actual occupation is not specified.

(Letter to compiler, 13 Jan. 1998)

BIO: "Uncle Sam" had a beautiful tenor singing voice according to family reports. As he aged, his voice was strongly affected by the "palsy-type" of involuntary movement that was visible in his head and hands. Even his speaking voice became shaky and unsteady. Compiler was never told what caused this problem, but apparently there was some hereditary factor, since Sam's younger sister, Callie, exhibits similar symptoms, as did Ike, their brother. Sam seemed to have been more visibly affected by this problem than his siblings, however. (His daughter, Pat, wrote in a letter to compiler, 13 Jan. 1998, "Part of physical problem was Dad's being shell- shocked in WW-I.") Compiler's husband made contact with John, Sam's eldest son, via mail in October, 1997. John responded to the request for additional data, and returned the family group sheets with appropriate corrections as well as additional data on his parents and maternal ancestors. Per John O'DELL, "...As I understand again, my mother and dad met in Colorado when dad was confined to the hospital where mother was working. Dad served in WW I, but mother was never in the service..." (Compiler had stated in earlier biographies that "Aunt Billie" was a registered nurse on active military duty.) Compiler was not sure when the family moved from INDIANA to OHIO, but in her letter (Jan., 1998), their youngest daughter, Pat wrote that the move took place in 1941. They lived for many years in Springfield (Clark Co.) OHIO. After Sam and Billie retired, they moved to Tucson, where they stayed until after Sam's death in 1963. Then "Billie" moved to TEXAS to be with Pat and her family. At the time of Sam's death, his sister, Elizabeth, had never been on an airplane. When she was notified of his death, there was no other way to get there in time for the service. In spite of her fear, she and other family members living in northern Indiana agreed to meet in Chicago and fly together.

************************ March, 1996: Sam's youngest brother, Hubert, loaned compiler the Family History Sheets from his mother's Bible. Two entries were found concerning the date of Sam's birth--on one sheet in green ink, apparently in a man's writing is, "Sammil H Odell was bornd March the 25 1892." On another page, in a more feminine hand is a list of all Frank O'DELL's children; the fourth entry is, "Samuel H. O'dell were Borned March 25 1892." In darker, heavier ink is added "Laurel Co Ky." (O'DELL) VORHIS, dau., 501 Ratcliff Dr., New Boston, TX 75570-2218. (Letter to compiler, 13 Jan. 1998) 4. Letter to authorities at the Statue of Liberty Mem., written by Alna's sister, Ruth (WILLIAMS) ALEXANDER, 17 April 1979. Letter contains story of their parents' lives and the birth of the twins at Ellis Island. Letter transcribed in its entirety in "BIO" for Alna's mother, Alma (SJOSTROM) WILLIAMS.

BIO: Compiler's first memories of "Aunt Billie" were of her "no nonsense" manner of speaking. As a child, compiler was more than a little frightened of this relative. In later years, it became obvious that this was simply her manner and there was nothing to fear. Still, it often seemed that she "barked" orders and compiler's impression was that she might have been a good military officer! It was not until compiler began genealogical research that she realized that Billie O'DELL had been born at ELLIS ISLAND. In the fall of 1997, compiler's husband made contact with Billie's son, John W. O'DELL, via a letter and copies of the data compiler had at that time. One of the specific requests for information concerned the story behind "Billie's" birth on Ellis Island. John responded as follows, in a letter to compiler 13 Nov. 1997: "As I understand, my grandparents came to the United States as indentured servants, lived and married in Iowa or Nebraska. They then went to Europe. When they returned to this country, my grandmother was expecting and gave birth on Ellis Island to two twin girls, Alma and Alna. It is documented that they were the first twins born on Ellis Island." Concerning compiler's initial report that "Aunt Billie" had served as a nurse in the military during WW I, John wrote - "As I understand again, my mother and dad met in Colorado when dad was confined to the hospital where mother was working. Dad served in WW I, but mother was never in the service." John also provided the name and place of birth of his maternal grandfather; he did not give his grandmother's name, but recorded that she was born in SWEDEN. BIO: Compiler had little contact with Colleen because of the age difference and the distance between our homes, but while working in Indianapolis, IN, compiler did have a few phone contacts with Colleen. She was working as a recreation director at the women's prison in Marion County. She tried to arrange a meeting. We planned to get together, but somehow it never happened. Compiler left Indianapolis in 1989; it is believed that Colleen was still living there at that time. In her letter to compiler in Jan. 1998, Colleen's sister, Pat, wrote of Colleen's occupation: "Recreational Director - YWCA, INDIANA INDIANA WOMEN'S PRISON OHIO DEPT. OF REC. FOR GIRLS' SCHOOL Prison Ministry: Colleen's own prison ministry: "Sisters thru Christ" Pat also wrote that she and her husband were planning to relocate to the Denton, TX area to be closer to their children. She added, "Colleen is in poor health, emphysema, and is also planning to move to Denton." Source: Elizabeth (Ann) Gilchrist-Jun 1998-O'Dell.GED

General Notes for Child Felicia Lee O'dell

[bobspu.ged]

BIO: Compiler recorded this child of Samuel and "Billie" (WILLIAMS) O'DELL on the basis of childhood memories of stories told in the GILCHRIST household about the twin who died in infancy. Among those memories was the report that "DeeDee" and her twin were born just a few months before compiler's eldest brother, James GILCHRIST. Contact with John W. O'DELL, brother of the twins, in Nov. 1997, brought confirmation of the existence of this child, as well as the information that Felicia lived only two or three months, and was buried in North Manchester. Felicia was not listed as a child of Samuel and "Billie" O'DELL in the unpublished genealogy compiled by Orville and Beverly WARREN.
