I am interested in learning more of the death of Ellis Ostrander, who died in Golden in August 1880.

He married Agnes Pollack July 10, 1880 in Golden. His previous residence

was Leadville.

Ellis was born in New York in 1841, so he was less than 40 at time of his death. I suspect it was an accidental death.

Did the Rocky Mountain News carry an article on the death of Ellis?

Did the local Golden paper describe the event? [Golden Transcript]

Does the death certificate give details? Was there an inquest?

Did he leave children?

Ellis was son of Peter Shenandoah Ostrander and Catherine Reed Ostrander, who settled in Georgetown in 1860's. Ellis had a brother, Othello Reed Ostrander, who lived in Georgetown, Longmont and Louisville prior to 1915.

In addition to the specific information on the death of Ellis, I am interested in learning details of other Ostrander deaths in Colorado.
