Albert was one of the organizers of the Christian Church 1821 in Turtle Creek Township, Warren County, OH. On 25 Oct 1818, he purchased 77 acres of land dfron Daniel Banta, located near Lebanon, Warren, OH. Albert's children were numerous throughout the central and western states and most of them used the surname Cossairt, only one branch is known to have altered the spelling. The family of their grandson, Francis Marion Cossairt, adopted the spelling of Cosart.

on Oct 25, 1818, Peter purchased 40 acres of land from his wife's uncle, daniel Banta. He later sold this land to his cousin, dennis Cassatt. In 1829, he purchased 40 acres in Monroe Township, Preble County, OH from Francis Cossairt. To this land deed he signs himself Peter Cossairt, Sr. The census records for 1850 Preble county, OH show that Mary (Banta) Cossairt was living in the home of her son, Albert Coossairt.

He was a substantial farmer who lived in Preble County, OH in 1832. In Warren County, OH in 1834 - 1835. He is listed as living in Pike Township, Jay County, Indiana on both the 1840 and 1850 Census. In about 1855, he removed to Henry County, Indiand. On the 1860 census, he is listed as living in Ringgold County, IA. On the 1870 census he is shown living in Hickory County, MO.
Francis served in the Union army during the civil war. He enlisted 4 July, 1881 at Mt. Ayr, IA, Company G, 4th Iowa Volunteer Infantry.
He served in Missouri and in Arkansas. He was honorably discharged 16 May 1862 for physical disability. He was about 55 or 56 years of age when he enlisted in the army.

Census records show him living in Preble County, Ohio in 1850 and in davis County, Iowa in 1860, 1870 & 1880. Henry enlisted 17 Aug 1861 in Company E, 3rd Iowa Cavalry and was discharged for physical disability 25 Dec 1862.
