The 8 May 1938 issue of The Anderson Independent said, " MRS.EMMAHERRING - TOWNVILLE, MAY 7 - Mrs. Emma SULLIVAN HERRING, widow ofthelate J.B. HERRING of TOWNVILLE, died at her home here last night at11o'clock following an illness of a few days.    Mrs. HERRING wasbornin Greenville County of the late Charles and Nancy SULLIVANHERRING.She was 79 years of age and had resided in Townvillepractically allof her life.    Mrs. HERRING was a member of theTownville BaptistChurch, where she was active in civic and religiousaffairs. Funeralservices will be held from the residence tomorrow at3:30 o'clock. TheRev. J. Edward Ledbetter, Pastor of the Ware ShoalsBaptist Churchwill officiate. Interment will be in the TownvilleBaptist ChurchCemetery, with G.F. Tolly and Son, Funeral Directors, incharge. Mrs.HERRING is survived by two sons, F.T. HERRING, ofTownville, and L.C.HERRING of Atlanta; two daughters, Misses Alice andLizzie Mae, bothof Townville; one sister, Mrs. B.H. GLYMPH, of FairPlay; one nephew;and five grandchildren. Her husband preceded her tothe grave some sixyears ago."

The 30 July 1945 issue of The Anderson Independent said, " MRS.MARYGLYMPH - Mrs. Mary SULLIVAN GLYMPH, 83, died at 9:15 o'clockSaturdaynight at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H.G. COWAN inWestminster. Shewas ill about one month.    Mrs. GLYMPH was a nativeof Hart County,the daughter of Charles and Nancy PARROTT SULLIVAN. Herhusband, B.H.GLYMPH, died January 17, 1941. For many years prior toher death, Mrs.GLYMPH made her home in Fair Play.    Surviving arethree daughters,and five sons, Mrs. H.M. LOVINGGOOD of Fair Play; Mrs.Dora HARBIN andMrs. H.G. COWAN, of Westminster; J.S., M.G., W.N., andO.L. GLYMPH,all of Fair Play, and L.M. GYLMPH of Greenville. Thirtygrandchildrenand twenty-seven great-grandchildren also survive." (arrangementsfollow - burial in Beaverdam Church Cemetery )

The 22 July 1935 issue of The Anderson Independent said, " MRS.IDAGABLES (sic) - SENECA, JULY 21 - Funeral services for Mrs. IdaGABLES,aged 63, were held this afternoon from Earl Grove BaptistChurch.Interment was in Fair Play Cemetery.    Mrs. GABLES died at herhomein the Earl's Grove Section last night following a short illness.Shewas a highly respected citizen and a member of the Earl GroveBaptistChurch. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. H.B. BELK andthreesons, Arlington, Olin, and Clinton, all of the Earl GroveSection."(arrangements follow )
