General Notes (Husband)



 NEHEMIAH PATCH, the son of John PATCH3d, was born in Ipswich on January 7, 1740/1  (Church Recod, the Hamlet Parish Church).  He was baptized in February

He was a yeoman and served as a Private in Capt. Moses Jewett's Troop of Horse - 3rd Essex County Regiment April 19, 1775 to Medford, Massachusetts. He served for three days.

He married Hepzibah Wells ("singlewoman" of Argilla, The Hamlet, Ipswich, on April 28, 1763.

Their children (all born in Ipswich) were: ANNA (March 9, 1766-April 18, 1804) married Dr. Nathan Jaques of Ipswich
            Hamilton V. R. lists her as dying of consumption. NEHEMIAH (August 23, 1767-?) married Margaret Wyman of Gloucester (February 27, 1796 in Gloucester)  Apparently Nehemiah Jr. and his wife Margaret, moved to Portland, Maine before 1829. JOHN  (March 21, 1770-December 21, 1858)

Vital Records of  Hamilton record the birth of  "M.S., d. Capt. Tracy, Sept.25,1813"

Tracy Patch's death notice from  the Hamilton V.R. states:

    (Patch) "Tracy, Capt., at sea (fever, at the West Indies, C.R.), Nov. 20, 1818.
    (a. 34 y. C.R,) late of Brig Helen, Pt. Petre, Guadeloupe.  News received
