Kate was married seven times. Lewis Youngs was her fourt h and her seventh husband. They are buried together in Dayt on, Ohio.

Kate liked her flower and vegetable garden. She spent a lo t of time in them both. She lived in Phillipsburg Ohio o n a two acre farm with Lewis.

One memory of her grandson Butch is watching her weed the g arden bent over with her cat on her back asleep. The cat w as wild and no one else could touch it. Another fond memor y was her Sunday dinners of fried rabbit and homemade noodl es. His Mom (Doris) makes homemade noodles still today bu t not as good as grandmas.

She was a liberated woman for her time. Kate had a tatto o of a butterfly on her shoulder. She was very feisty. Sh e either liked you or she didn't. Most people she didn't . Her grandson, Butch (Glenn Wellington Pottle) was her fa vorite person. She asked his advice often. One of the times he most remembers is when after si x marriages she had started dating her ex husband Lou Young s and she asked Butch is it was alright to have him move i n with her.
