General Notes for Child Light Townsend III

---

Light and Phobe moved to Liberty Co, GA about 1793. Light served as a Private in Captain John Winns Company Infantry 2 Georgia Militia in War of 1812. Moved family and slaves to Jefferson Co, Fla and deeded land near Newmansville, in 1828. Living there when 7 years War with Seminole Indians began 1835-1842. Member of 1st Regiment Fla Mounted Militia then into - US Service. After Phoebe died moved to Hernando County to be near Captain John Jack and daughters. Died there.
