He was the second oldest man in the county when de died of a stroke. Daniel was small when the family moved to Ohio then on to Milroy, Indiana. He lived there until he was 21 then moved to Clinton County, Sugar Creek Twp. Around 1880 he moved to Jackson Twp. He was a staunch Democrat and cast his first vote for Andrew Jackson.
