Lee and I met Ann Brown in May, 2000 on our trip to West Virginia. She is a very delightfu l person, petite, and pretty. Her address at that time was: H.C. 63 Box 67 Nettie, WV 26681 -9609. We met at Bob Evans Restaurant in Summerville and enjoyed breakfast together. She sh ared her Stockwell info. with me that I have included here in this family tree.

I suppose you already know about Ann Brown by now? My sister sent me a copy of her obituary i n a letter I got from her today. My sister was visiting me a short time ago and I was showin g her your family site and she recognized Ann in the picture you had on the site. When she s aw her picture, she said, that's the woman that was in the hospital in the same room with ou r Mother in Summersville, WV. They were in the same room in the hospital, related to one ano ther and didn't know it. Isn't that something? Small world, isn't it? Anyway, I have the ne wspaper obituary column, in case you want a copy. Let me know. In case you didn't already know, I'm sorry for the loss and hope this finds you and Lee feeli ng better. Roselyn Ann (Roberts) Brown 67 years old of Nettie, WV died March 14, 2001 in Summersville Me morial Hospital, Summersville after a short illness.
Formerly of North Canton, Ohio, she was born in Richwood, WV, on May 9, 1933. Her late paren ts were Vernon W. Roberts and Nedra (Stockwell-Roberts) Batton.
She was a graduate of Richwood High School, received a bachelor's degree from Berea College , Kentucky, and a Master's Degree from Kent State Univ., Kent, Ohio. She was a retired Engli sh teacher with 35 years service. She began teaching at Richwood High School and retired fro m Green High School, Green, Ohio. At Green she was founder and sponsor of the literary magaz ine, sponsor of the year book, and department chairperson. She was a member of Calvary Metho dist Church, Richwood. Also NEA-R, OEA-R and Phi Delta Kappa.
She is survived by her son, Staurt W., and daughter-in-law, Carrie Brown, and Grandson, Loga n D. Brown, all of Nettie, WV. Aunt and Uncle, Betty (Stockwell) and Lawrence Webb, of Oldto wn, MD., former husband, Chilton D. Brown, Nettie, special and dear cousins, and many loyal a nd loving friends.
Services were held Saturday, March 17, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. in Simons-Coleman Funeral Home, Ric hwood, with the Rev. Royce Simpson officiating. Burial followed in Richwood Cemetery, Richwo od.
Arrangements by Simons-Coleman Funeral Home, Richwood.
