Jasper was known as 'Squire Robinett'. He was a Justice of the Peace in Allegany County for many years, beginning in 1829. He was County Commissioner in 1838, an Election Judge in 1836 and 1840, Judge of Orphans Court in 1851, 54 and 56. Member of Constitution Convention of 1864.
