BIRTH: According to family records, she was born in Little Rock, Pulaski, Arkansas, on 28 April 1870-71. According to Wilema Koiner England, she was born in 1870 in Tennessee.
MARRIAGE: Denton, Denton, TX, Vol 4, page 87 or 89. Was a double wedding between James Thomas Southern Jr. and Susie Evelyn Roper and his sister Sallie T. Southern to William Boles on 29 Sept 1890. Records say Mrs. but we wonder if it was misread. The marriage certificate says Miss not Mrs. (This certificate is in poor shape. However a copy is on file. The original is in possession of Becky Hugg, Amarillo, TX.

Obituary on file. FUNERAL: According to records of Mullare Funeral Home, Susie Evelyn died May 24, 1944 at the Billener Hotel in Trinidad. She resided in Branson, CO and they would ship the body to that place.

Leona sent in for me yesterday. Of corse i am allways ready to go. will go back home tomorrow. Then i am going to Eunice the first of Sept. Visited Lillian in Borger in June and all so Leo and Vessie's boy Paul Gose in Amarillo. Had a nice time.

Sent you a card last Sunday a week a go haven't heard yet. hope all are all right wish if you feel like it you would write all a bout Francis andd what poor Myrtle will do. Just think poor Dad won't no anything a bout war he say i don't want to see war a gain. i walk out to the grave and clean lot i have a stone at his grave and i try to keep the weeds down around the house. it is awful lone some at home but it is a good place to be i see so many things he has done i have his smoke stand with his pipe and can of tobaco - and ash tray setting just by his big resting chair where he sat so so many times and smoked (Oh it is awful to think he is gone. well i had better close. love to all a loving and lonesome, Sis Susie. answer soon.
