I John Shearman of the Town of Dartmouth in the Cou n t y o f B ristol being of sound and perfect mind and memo r y b less ed b e God for the same but calling to mind th e mo rtal ity o f m y body and knowing that it is appointe d fo r men o nce t o dy e do make and ordaine this my las t wil l & testam ent th at i s to say principally and firs t of al l I give an d recco mmen d my soul into the hands o f God th at gave it a nd for m y bod y I recommend it to y e earth t o be buried i n a decen t manne r at the discreti on of th e Executors an d as touchin g such w ordly estat e wherewit h it hath please d God to bles s me in t his lif e I give de vise and dispos e of the same i n the follo win g manner an d form.
