He enrolled at East Otto, New York, on 27-Aug-1864 in Com p a ny H, 154th N.Y. Volunteers. He saw service near Atlanta where he too k i l l and was sent to a military hospital in Madison, Indiana, for six weeks . H e w as discharged 11-Jun-1865 near Bladensburg, Maryland.
