General Notes (Husband)



BIOGRAPHY: Simon was the proprietor of the Stratton Tavern in Waltham; was alsoinvolved in the woolen mill business as a transporter/expressman.  When the railroad built a branch line close to the mills, he was put out of business; but he moved to Evanston, Illinois, where he bought 500 acres of land and started farming.  When he moved from Waltham, his household goods filled several wagons pulled by 4 fine horses!
