This entry copied from Church records at Campti, La.  Due to date ofbirth I believe this child to be Franklin M. Thompson, with the firstname changed to Joseph to meet Church Baptism requirements, i.e. musthave a saints name.

The change of a name is common in the Catholic Church for baptism, aswith my Oldest son, Turner Preston ( Paul ) Lawson, Paul is the requiredBaptismal name.
