OBIT NOTICE WALKER George Wesley "G.W." Walker, 79, formerly of Fountain Inn, husbandofRuth Thompson Walker, died Feb. 22, 1989, at Abbeville CountyMemorialHospital.
Born in Abbeville, he was a son of the late Chesley Burton and EllaMaeBeagle Walker. He was a retired supervisor of Bloomsburg Mill, aMasonand a member of Pisgah Methodist Church in Fountain Inn.
Surviving are widow; daughter, Trudy Cox of Spartanburg; sons,BillyWalker of Fountain Inn, Ricky Walker of Greenwood and MelvinWalker ofRock Hill; sister, Mrs. Mamie W. Porter of Abbeville;brother, HaroldWalker of Knoxville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren;onegreat-granddaughter.
Services were Friday at Harris Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs.ForestMixon and John Tucker. Burial in Melrose Cemetery.
