Richard and Polly lived in Amenia when first married.  They moved to westside of Hudson about 1810.  Their history written by a grandchild.

There is a stone in Riverview Cemetery, Union City, MI with Martin's nameand dates.  However both Branch County and Calhoun County, MI historiessay he died in Orleans County, NY.  James R. did not move to BranchCounty until 1855. Martin and Orrin J. are on opposite sides of anobelisk marker on Rachel's grave in Riverside Cemetery, Union City, MI.The graves are located in Section 6, just off the road to the right ofthe small building in the cemetery. I have checked probate records inboth Niagara and Orleans Co, NY with no luck. Martin was a shoemaker and a farmer. 1830 Census, page 327, Middlesex, Yates, NY 1825 Census of Yates County, NY 1820 Census of Boston Corners, MA Purchased one hundred acres in Middlesex, Yates, NY on 11 Dec 1826, for $500, recorded in book 10, page 544 of Yates Co. in Penn Yann.  Sold same January 4, 1831, Book 12, page 440.
