John Webb35 was born about 1674 in Northampton Co, VA. He was court case on 3 Sep 1695 in Su ssex Co, DE.36 It states that John Webb of Summerset Co. Maryland is in court with Randolp h Revill, late of Summerset Co., Maryland.
He owned land in 1704 in Northumberland Co., VA.37 A John WEBB is reference in Book B p 7 6, Northern Neck Grants under the grant of John and Thomas Taylor for land on the Corotomo n River that joins John Webb.
He died in 1728 in Northampton Co, VA. The court case in Sussex Delaware states that Joh n Webb is from Sommerset Maryland.

Webb history from Virginia Webb.
The WEBB family was originally from Dorset, a shire on the southern coast of Wales in England . For nearly two hundred years the WEBBs had resided in this place which is near Stratford-on -Avon before Alexander Jr with his four sons came to America. The brothers had become quite w ealthy. They sold their estate in England for a large sum of money prior to their departure . This English property was inherited through their ancestor, Sir Henry Webb. A copy of the l etter which Queen Catherine Parr sent her Council (Cabinet Ministers) asking them to grant he r beloved friend, Henry Webb, the lands and estates that had been mentioned for him is stil l extant and in possession of Dr George F Webb of Astabula, Ohio to whom much of the historic al data of the Webb family is credited. These lands had been confiscated by the King at the s uppression of the monasteries and were located in Dorsetshire, England. In later years they b ecame of value to the children who came to America.
