He is the one who appears on the 1850 Census of Tompkin s C o unty, New York, age 40, with a wife, Mariah. The BEACH FAMILY MAGAZINE, Vo l . I II, No. 1, p. 224, claims he was the son of Isaac Beach(6) Isaac(5) William( 4 ) , but this is in error. More recent research shows he was actually th e s o n of David Beach(6) Solomon(5) William(4) Nathan(3) Thomas(2) John(1). H e a n d his descendants are therefore traced under that lineage.

he BEACH FAMILY MAGAZINE, Vol. III, No. 1, p. 224, clai m s h e was the son of Isaac Beach(6) Isaac(5) William(4), but this is in err o r . He is named as son, heir and executor in the will of his father, David B e a ch(6) of Newfield, Tompkins County, New York. On the 1850 Census of Newfi e l d he is found living just a few dwellings away from David(6) and immediately a d j acent to his brother, Peter Beach(7), who is also mentioned in David ' s e state papers. One source says he had twelve (12) children so this list m a y b e incomplete.

George Beach(7) was born c. 1810 and would have been only 17 a t t h is man's birth c. 1827. Likewise, no Jeremiah appears in the household o f G e orge(7) on the 1850 Census, although he might have moved from the househ o l d by that time. He is placed here based on notes of a descendant of Georg e ( 7) who has researched this family, but the identification should b e c o nsidered tenative.
