He serve d i n t he Revolution, although some credit his service to another Hezekiah. Li k e wise, some credit the children below to Hezekiah(4) Caleb(3), uncle of th i s m an, but the vital records of New Ashford, Massachusetts, attribute them t o H e zekiah, Jr., i.e., this man.
General Notes for Child Joshua Beach
The BEACH FAMILY MAGAZINE, Vol. II, No. 1, p. 118 says o n l y that he was born 23-Mar-1774, but others say he died 10-Nov-1841 at Masonv i l le, Delaware County, New York. He moved there from Connecticut in 18 2 4 , settling on a tract of 200 acres. See the accounts of his grandsons, M y r on L. Beach and Ira Beach in BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCHES OF THE LEADINGS CITIZE N S O F DELAWARE COUNTY, NEW YORK, pp. 13, 346. One claims Joshua Beach had eig h t c hildren while the other credits a son Harlow (same as Joshua H. Beach? ) a n d a son Nelson.

The name is apparently male. The will of a Seba Beac h w a s probated at Winchester, Connecticut, in 1797. Named as heirs are Sus a n na Beach, Joshua Beach, Caleb Beach and Benjamin Beach; the last also serv i n g as administrator.
