Abbott, "Families of Early Milford, Connecticut", p. 7 8 , a s well as D.A.R. records identify his wife as Lucretia Goldsmith, baptiz e d 1 7-Apr-1765 at the Huntington Episcopal Church and died 20-Sep-1839 at ag e 7 5 . The same source likewise gives the daughter Anna, born 1790.

He later moved west to Clarkson, Monroe County , N e w York, where he was a member of the Congregational Church of Clarkson f r o m 1833 to 1846. In 1846 he was at Brockport, Monroe County, New York, whe r e h e is buried. In the same cemetery lot are buried a Sarah A. Beach, b. 17 8 0 ; d. 1854, who may be a second wife, together with a Mary J. Beach, b. 181 9 ; d . 1864, and Samuel G. Beach, b. 1820; d. 1896, who may be children by the se c o nd marriage.

He was likely born in Suffield, Connecticut, shortly af t e r his parent's marriage there. His identity as a son of Thadius Bea c h i s confirmed by land transactions between the two men and records in the est a t e of Erastus Rising Beach, which identy Aretas Beach as his brother. Areta s B e ach is himself called "Erastus" or "Aretos" in some Michigan records , b u t he should not be confused with his younger brother Erastus. He was in Wa y n e County, Michigan, in 1850 but moved to St. Clair County, Michigan, by 1860.
