Downing, Mabel's aunt, executed May 9, 1931, states: "-5- To my beloved niece, Mabel Carrie Best, the sum of $500.00." Copy in files. Subsequent communication with Nancy Truman, daughter of Eldon Best, provided the full name of the husband of Mabel Carrie Downing, it was Clarence William Best. Nancy's parents, Eldon and Melba Best, now live at 726 N. 15th, Enid, Oklahoma A wealth of other information on this family line was also provided b her, and copies of my data sent to her and her family in April, 2000.
