BIO: Wayne was somewhat uncertain of vital dates for his parents. He commented that his father was considerably older than his mother, and that his father was "about 60 years old" when Wayne, the youngest of six children was born. Per Wayne's wife, she knew her father-in-law only a very short time before his death. James Russell was in poor health for several years. The exact cause of death was not known, but he had been diagnosed with heart trouble, diabetes and had suffered a stroke.
