Died at home of son, Harold, following 2 weeks of ill health.
Greenville News, 1/27/1941: Thomas J. Moody, 79, died last night at 9:00 at house of his son, H.G.Moody, on Watkins Bridge Road. Surviving are his wife and thefollowing children: J.A., J.M., J.G., and H.G. Moody, Mrs Bessie Capps, Mrs. HattieCisson, and Mrs Eva Allison. He is also survived by 39 grandchildrenand 15 great-grandchildren. Mr. Moody was married twice. His firstwife, Mrs Matilda Boaldin, died in 1920. Funeral arrangements will be announced later by R.D. Jones and Sons,Morticians.
