FAMILY RECORDS: Committed suicide when only 24 years old. Shewitnesseda massacre at their settlement. Took her 3 children and hidin acornfield. Afterwards, she walked about 10 miles to thesettlement atAlto. Husband was away, not known where. Later committedsuicide, butdetails are unknown. Buried in Jacksonville cemetery.Gravestone placedby her son John William Thompson several years afterher death. Maidenname not placed on the stone: just first andmiddle. Last name of Boydverified by Ola Thompson Lively from familybible.

In summer of 1995, we were unable to locate the grave marker inthecemetery at Jacksonville.
