Milligan Kinter Was born in 1859. He entered the service as laborer on August 5, 1884 and later held position s as coach cleaner, car inspector and car repairman. At the time of his retirement he was emp loyed as car inspector

Obituary Hugh Foster Milligan Kinter, the son of Hugh Brady and Emily Adeline Warden kinter, was bor n April 8th 1859 in Indiana County, Pa. Departed this life Mar. 14, 1944 aged, therefore 84 y rs. 11 mo. and 6 days. He was united in marriage toElvira Alice Brown, on Dec. 25th 1881, and to this union were bor n eleven children:- Irvin Foster, Ada Viola, Lottie Lee, Lawrence Wesley, Zona Willis, Rose , Josephene, Ceciley Gertrude, Chester Elkins, Bessie Alice, and Omega. Four children have pr eceeded him to the grave:-Josephine, Chester Elkins, Omega, and Irvin Foster. He is also survived by his wife, one brother Linn Kinter of this city: 12 grandchildren, an d 10 great grandchildren. Though late in life, Mr. Kinter made a good confession, proffessed faith in Christ, accceptin g Him as his Personal Savior and was happy with wife, the few children who could be here, an d the friends who had come in. This occured in his home while the pastor was visiting. Then o n the Tuesday following, five days later, on Jan. 26th 1943, a very cold snowy day, by appoin tment and announcing it publically, in a very splendid service in this ery room, he took th e vows of the Church; placing his membership in the West Main Street Church. The deceased was a former car inspector of the B. & O. R. R. and was well known among a hos t of friends,- having resided here for the past 63 yrs. Mr Kinter died at his home 1307 Railroad Street, from complications following a brief illness . " A precious one from us has gone, a voice we loved is stilled, another vacant place among us now, which never can be filled."

According to Bessie Butcher in a June 1999 interview, Wilson Kinter talked Hugh into buildin g their house on Railroad St. Hugh was always sorry that he let Wilson talk him into that an d that he hadn't done as he'd wanted.

MRS. KINTER DIES HERE SATURDAY
Last Rites To Be Held Tuesday Afternoon From Late Home
Mrs. Elvira Alice Brown Kinter, wife of Hugh Foster Mullan (sic) Kinter of 1307 Railroad stre et, passed away at her home Saturday afternoon. She had been in ill health for several years. A native Taylor county woman, she was born in the Wickwire section on November 8, 1862, a dau ghter of John Brown and Deborah Wright Brown. She leaves the following children; Mrs. Lottie H. Peer, Miss Zona W. Kinter, Mrs. Ceciley Los h, Mrs. Bessie A. Butcher, and Lawrence w. Kinter of Grafton; Mrs. Ada V. Mayle of Berrybur g and Mrs. Rose Schnavely of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Friends may call at the late home after 11 a.m. today. Funeral services will be held Tuesdayat 1:30 p.m. from the late home at 1307 Railroad Street . The Rev. J. B. Staley will have charge of services and burial will be made in the Woodsdal e Memorial park under the direction of the Bartlett Funeral home.
