Albert F. Skeer, mechanic, was born in Butler County, P e n n . , March 29, 1834, Son of Eli and Mary A. (Dugan) S ke e r ( se e biography of Thomas J. Skeer (#2031)). Alber t F . , in 1 85 0 removed to Hebron, Licking Co., Ohio, Lea rne d t he cabi net -maker's trade with his brother Thoma s J. , an d in 185 2 purc hased his brother's interest in t he bu sines s, afte r which h e continued it alone for si x years . In 18 58,he ca me to La G range, where he has wo rked a t carpente ring. M r Skeer i s a skilled workman, an d has e rectedsom e of the f inest buil digs in this and ad joinin g counties . For two yea rs he was e ngaged in the n ew cour t house i n La Grange, dur ing which ti me he los t only sev en workin g days. He has bee n for many ye ar s a member o f theMeridia n Sun Lodge, No. 76 , A., F . & A . M., of whic h he has bee n W. M., and at prese nt i s its tre asurer.
