Said she was of Dutch origin. Annie's father died when she was young, after being kicked in the head by a mule. Never attended school, so she could not read or write. She was shrewd when it came to handling and figuring money. Final years were spent in her own little house, built by her son, DeWitt, on his farm near Spiro, OK. She is buried in Fort Smith, ARk, in the Oak Cemetery
In 1921 she sued for divorce and it was granted.
