WILSON (WILLSON), JAMES

b. c.1740 d. 17 January 1781 m. Martha Calhoun James Wilson enlisted under Gen. Pickens and Col. Anderso n during1778while residing in Abbeville District, South Carolina. Inaddition, heserved under Col. Hayes near Ninety Six. He died of awound receivedin the battle at Cowpens. His widow, who married William Anderson, executed apensionapplication 18 October 1824. She died 31 January 1840. Herdaughter,Mrs. Mary W. Langston, exectuted a pension application 6August 1856while residing in Anderson District, South Carolina.Anothersurviving child was James.
