This company left Americus, Ga. April 27, 1861 . Arri v e d a t Augusta, Ga. April 28, 1861 . Left Augusta, Ma y 3 , an d a r rived at Portsmouth, Va. May 5, 1861 . Engag ed i n bat tl e of Malvern Hill Va. July 1, 1862 , when tw o me n were k ill e d and eight were wounded. Transferred f rom G eneral A . R . Wright's Brigade to General R. S. Ripl ey's B rigade. W en t into camp near Seven Pines, Va. battl efield , thence t o Go rdons ville by rail, Orange Court Ho use an d Gainesvill e Sta tion , Va. Left bivouac at Berryv ille, V a. October 31 , 186 2 ; crossed Shenandoah River an d Blue R idge Mountain s an d remained several days near Up pervill e, Va. Recros sed t he Blue Ridge Mountains and ma rched t o Front Royal, V a. i n line of battle. Crossed th e Shenand oah River and biv ouack ed several days, thence m arched tow ard Strasburg, Va . wher e they remained severa l days.
