BIO:
On U.S. Census for 1870, Aubbee. Twp., Christopher and Rebecca CAMPBELL reported a female "Infant" age 5 mos; (no name given.)
U.S. Census 1880 shows a 10-year-old female named "Sarah." No "Dottie" appears in any of the appropriate census records.
1900 Census does not show this child in the CAMPBELL household; yet Christopher CAMPBELL's obituary in the Rochester Sentinel, 25 Jan. 1904, lists "Mrs. Wm. (Dottie CAMPBELL) YELTON as one of the surviving children.
Fulton County Marriage Records, Book F. p 145 gives the "Dottie" CAMPBELL and Wm. YELTON marriage record. "Sarah" would have been 24 years of age at this time. This compiler, therefore, has made the assumption that "Sarah" and "Dottie" CAMPBELL are the same person.

States his father, Asa, moved from VA to Christian Co., KY about 1810 with brothers William, Dabney, John and sister, Margaret. Asa's family moved on to MO in 1820; Uncle Dabney came in 1835. Uncle John's children, John, Milton, Dabney, Clark and Susan, also settled in MO. Asa Wallace was sent to Cumberland College, near Princeton, Caldwell County, KY. Left Independence, MO 1 April 1846 and arrived at Mission San Jose, CA on 19 September 1846; ordered to Santa Clara Fort and fought with General John Fremont (George Daum, 110 Crescent Road, Corte Madera, CA 94925).
