Jack was adopted as a baby. He was killed in an accident. While sorting logs on the Fraser River during spring runoff, the caterpillar tractor he was operating broke loose and fell into the raging river. Jack's body was not located until middle of Aug. at which time there was a memorial service for him in New Westminster, B.C..
