I am descended from Agnes Anscell sister of Mary Anscell wife of William Carter. I note your reference to a John Carter born in Kempston in 1599. I have the details from the Parish registers ofKempston and can find no John born at this time. Are you able to provide a source for John's baptism. The William born 1602/03 is stated in the register as the son of William Carter Jnr. Ancell Carter was born in 1591 and is different to William Carter above.
