Box 8132 Lakeland, Floridia 33802-8132. * Date and place of birth from above which indicated that there is no record of his death. * New Kent County records were burned during the Civil War in 18 65. * He lived in St. Peters Parish in the Western Half of New Kent Co., Virginia and was a member of that parish. The baptism of three o f his sons and a daughter are entered in that parish register. * His land was processioned (i.e. walked off) by church order in 1689. * He paid quit rent for 160 acres in 1704. * CHA0085 gives his marriage as about 1680 in St. Peter's Parish , New Kent Co., Virginia based on record in Vestry Book of St. Peters Parish from the VA State Library, VA 1937. The birth information of his children is indicated from the same source. This record includes only Timothy, John, Joseph and William as children.

Robert is not listed. * He bought land in Henrico Co., Virginia in 1718 and is listed as a resident of New Kent County. * He left New Kent County about 1718 following his brothers Timo thy and Robert who left in 1715 and 1718. Joell and Priscilla settled on Tuckahoe Creek in Henrico Co., VA, on land today in suburban Ric hmond, VA. In 1727, he moved west to the area south of the James River and was one of the earliest settlers on this frontier land, brothers Wil liam and Joseph also relocated to Coochland and there are many records of Joell, his brothers and sons here.
