General Notes (Husband)



 Isaac Ross 2nd lived at "Stony Hill" N.C. and he was calle d "Stony Hill Isaac" to distinguish him from another brothe r by the second marriage of his father. The home "Stony Hil l" was possibly in Mecklenburg county. "Stony Hill Isaac" r emoved to South Carolina about 1750-1760 and settled in wha t was then Orangeburg county. He was Collector for his dist rict in 1764. (See Salley's History of Orangeburg County).
