No females in 1840, living alone in 1850, age 65. Jillson (p. 311-312) shows 670 acres surveyed between 1799 and 1810. Was an Elder in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Salubria Springs. Left will in Christian County, KY dated 16 July 1860; proved 21 January 1861 (WB R:376). Provided for freedom of his 10 slaves; names grandchildren - William Moore now living in MO, Hester M. Finley, Margaret S. Finley; Sarah Jane Finley, George C. Finley, John P. Finley, Melissa G. Finley, Amanda B. Finley (last 5 are children of Milton) and living in Morgan County, MO; Hester C. Ware and James D. Ware living in Texas. Christian County Marriages give date as 3 November 1805 (bond?).
