P orter of B aker Co, ,th e ceremon y taking plac e in 1837; an d his thir d wife wa s Miss Harr iett L. Van Va lkenburg, orig inally of N Y cit y, whom he m arried at Maco n in 1858. (thi s proved t o b e in error) Se th Taylor's ch ildred were: Na ncy (Mrs . McDa niel Oliver) , Cherry Ann (M rs Erasmus L. Col lier ; later Mr s Wilburn ) Ezekial, Thoma s Kellym, Augustu s , Isaiah, Jesse , Mary E lizabeth and Luc y (Mrs John B.F elde r). The third Mr s Tay lor was a siste r of Mrs W. D . Hayne s and Mrs D. K.Brin so n, and an aunt o f Mrs Arthu r Rylander , all of Americus.

!Joseph Jefferson Finley is found 1867 in Great Register, Sonoma County, CA. He was born c 1829 in MO, living near John & Samuel Emanuel Finley in Bodega township. He was still there in 1898 nearby in Redwood township. Physical description: 5'10", fair complexion, blue eyes, gray hair, right eye gone. Peggy Harding has a book by Rev. Joseph Alleine, "An Alarm to Unconverted Sinners; in A Serious Treatise on Conversion." The inscription reads, presented by Joseph J. Finley, Sonoma County, CA to his "naim saik" Joseph Jefferson Finley, Hopkins County, TX, 19 October 1870. The Bodega John Finley noted above is son of Samuel, who was a brother to Jesse and Edmund. Additional information found in Sonoma County include a patent for 58.19 acres, 20 May 1872 (Patents book B:60) and a death record in Death Register Book 42:41. His marriage license was found in Hopkins County, TX by Peggy Harding. (Book 3:31). In 1870 census, Bodega, Sonoma Co., CA, p. 257; in 1880 census, Redwood twp, Sonoma County, vol. 16, ed 130, sheet 18, line 25.
