.GEORGE COLLINS     1.JOHN COLLINS

    George Collins, a son of John Collins, was born in Hampshire County VA about 1755 and die d in Lewis County VA September 4, 1833. He married Mary Richards in Harrison County VA marc h 12, 1791.  Mary was a daughter of George Richards.

    He married Abigail (Ball) Smith October 8, 1798.

    George served the Colonies in the American Revolution, enlisting in Captain John Lewis' c ompany in May 1771. He received a pension of $85 per year from March 1, 1831 until Septembe r 4, 1833.
