 Esther McDonald and her husband John Woodward resided on " Anvil Rock" Plantation, where it is said they are buried. J ohn Woodward was 21 at the time of the Regulation, and die d owning over 7000 acres of land and 55 slaves. He is refer red to as "John Woodward, South Carolina Regulator, Cedar C reek of Broad River, 7389 acres 55 slaves" in Richard Maxwe ll Brown's "The South Carolina Regulators", p.114, 118, & 1 19.
