It's me, again, I got to putting two and two together....do you have the original Collins fam ily? I do, John Collins married Hannah Cozad in Harrison Co. then VA, they were married abou t 1742..Hannah's family was from New Jersey, but she had many preachers in her family...so, s he and john had a large family, moving to Warren, Ohio area, but a couple of the kids staye d in WV then VA...that is where my Collins started...your John D. and all...what I was thinki ng was that the Collinses moved to Ohio....where did the some of your Wilsons come from, Ohio ? I found 1 ...I feel that somehow the Collinses and the Wilsons were mixed up sooner than w e each think!..as they seem to be mixing quite well with each other...I KNOW that they are NO t from my Wilsons from Marion Co....as George Wison and Lavina Ferrell, his parents were fro m Staunton, VA area. this would have been my uncle Bert Wilson's grandparents...the Bert th at married my dad's sister...Elsie Snider...although you say you can't link into that bunch o f Wilsons...as I said, I will study on it...I can do some more reading and ,aybe find that li nk...just a thought about the Collins and Wilsons....you see, then came Issac Sanson Collins , son of John Collins and Hannah Cozad...he married Phebe's daughter, Rachel Cunningham....th en they ALL moved into Ritchie County...making the first settlement at GrassRun...later, afte r Phebe's husband Thomas had died they rerlocated into Calhoun County ..where I pick up a DOU BLE relationship through my Mom AND my Dad....so I have a double shot of Collins, and Cunning ham, plus Phebe's maiden name was Tucker, Scottish, from a large family...she was 5'2", wit h auburn red hair, blue eyes and a flawless complexion...probably her hair color may have sav ed her life....I am 5'2", but have green eyes, blonde hair, but I used to be strong as a hors e, little, but loud! I guess it came from my STRONG grandmothers and gggrandmothers...littl e women, but tough...only I finally broke...but mu determination is still there. The oldest lady in the county is now residing in this district. Her name is Rachel Collins, a nd she is now in the ninety-seventh year of her age. her mother and brother then but three ye ar of age, were carried from the frontier of Virginia into captivity by the Indians, the form er remained with them three years, and the latter grew to manhood among them; he never return ed to Virginia.
